One of the fastest growing cities in the nation since 2000, Frisco now has 116,000 residents. Excellent schools have helped the city grow quickly. The abundance of shopping and services is also excellent. Frisco was established as a small community along the Shawnee trail which later became the Preston trail and then Preston Road. Preston Road is the oldest north/south road in Texas and is the main artery for Frisco. The school system boasts over 30 elementary schools and six high schools.
